Bible :We believe that both Old and New Testaments are the inspired, authoritative Word of God. It is the complete revelation of God's Plan for man's salvation and the final authority concerning the Christian's faith and practice.
God : We believe that God is eternal, all knowing, all powerful, and always present. He is manifested in Three Persons; Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ : We believe in the deity (divine nature) of Jesus Christ. He was God and He became man by means of the virgin birth. In His nature He was sinless, in life He was perfect, and in His death and resurrection He was able to secure eternal redemption for sinful man. He has bodily ascended to heaven and is now at the right hand of God's throne interceding for His church. He will come again to receive His bride (the redeemed) to heaven forever.
The Holy Spirit : We believe the Holy Spirit is the agent by whom Jesus initiates and performs His work among humanity today. We believe the Holy Spirit is divine and is the Executor of the Godhead to man. Everything we receive from God is by the Holy Spirit. To sin against the Holy Spirit is the only unpardonable sin in the Bible.
Man : We believe man was created originally sinless, made in the moral image of God. He was created entire, (did not evolve from lower life forms) and with a free will to choose right from wrong. This makes all men personally accountable when reaching the age of accountability. Man disobeyed God and sin entered the human family bringing physical and spiritual death. Hence the need of salvation and Christ.
Salvation:Man's return to God is only through the enabling influence of the Holy Spirit in conviction for sin and the need of salvation. It is through this conviction that man can repent of his sins and exercise saving faith; the kind that transforms the soul and gives new spiritual life. We believe the Holy Spirit bears witness when the soul is born from above. After genuine repentance (sorrow for and confession of sin, and a subsequent turning from it) the believer needs to confess Jesus as his Savior and begin a life of obeying the Word, growing in grace, and offering service to God. One needs to be a part of a spiritual, local congregation which will greatly facilitate his Christian walk and growth in grace.
As the Christian continues in his quest for God he finds he still has a nature inside that is contrary to personal holiness and a consistent walk with the Lord. Jesus has made provision to cleanse the sin nature we are born with. He does that by a second work of grace known as sanctification, or the filling with the Holy Spirit. This second work of grace is two-fold in its effect. It cleanses the heart from inbred sin and it empowers the Christian to live victoriously, thus becoming an effective witness. It does not place one above the possibility of sin or the possibility of falling from grace.
